Motiva® Preservé

The method is based on a modern, tissue-preserving approach:

• the tissue is not cut during the procedure but gently separated using a balloon technique,
• the implant is placed above the muscle and directly beneath the gland,
• structures such as muscles, nerves, and mammary glands remain untouched,
• the procedure is performed under local anesthesia with the option of sedation.

Thanks to this approach, postoperative recovery is significantly faster and more comfortable compared to traditional techniques.

How does the procedure work?

The method is based on a modern, tissue-preserving approach:

• The incision is made in the fold under the breast, discreet and hidden, about 2.5 cm in length.
• A special balloon is inserted just beneath the breast gland to gently separate the tissue and create space for the implant.
• Implants of various sizes can be inserted through the lower approach without damaging the tissue.
• The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, possibly with mild sedation, and patients can leave the clinic just one hour after surgery.

Main Differences Between Preservé and MIA Femtech™ Techniques

Both techniques are based on the concept of tissue preservation and fast recovery. Preservé allows for a larger breast augmentation (up to ~400 ml, 2+ cup sizes), while MIA Femtech™ is designed for very subtle enhancements (up to 195 ml, 1–2 cup sizes).

With MIA Femtech™, only equally sized implants are used, making it ideal for women with naturally symmetrical breasts.

Preservé allows for different implant sizes and projections on each side to correct significant asymmetries. It can also be used in some lift-and-augmentation procedures for faster recovery. The surgical approach differs as well: MIA Femtech™ uses an underarm incision, leaving no scars on the breasts, while Preservé uses an incision hidden in the breast fold, similar to our hybrid method, resulting in a short, discreet scar.
